Mauro's  insights in the podcast provide a cool look into artist booking. He mentioned, “Booking is more than just securing a name it’s about understanding the right fit for the event.” This resonates with the same things I learned from a webinar with Elvin Usidame so thats really fun to see everything connect!

The financial aspect of booking was particularly insightfu and something I struggle with. He explains, “Budgets always impact decisions sometimes you have to compromise, but the goal is to keep both the artist and the venue happy.” This highlights the negotiation process behind bookings, something I hadn’t considered in depth before. Because you are always adjusting wich I would enjot actually! Diginalisation and use of social media was said to give the artists more control over their careers. this shift in industry dynamics is something I’d like to explore further in the future.

Overall, the podcast was engaging and connected well with my interests. It provided valuable insights into the challenges bookers face and the strategies they use to navigate the industry.
